Perfect beginners kit with everything you need at a great price!
Everything’s included in this kit, and I can’t say enough how much I love it. I bought this because I can not keep the squirrels from eating my tomatoes so I wanted to try it out under my screen enclosure. This is great for beginners like me. The set up was very easy and my plant is growing at a faster pace than they normally do in the ground. The roots of the plant pictured here reach the bottom of the bucket and the plant is about 4 weeks old. I’m still in the trial and error phase of changing the nutrient water but it seems like this particular tomato plant takes almost two full days to recover from a complete water change. It seems like removing and replacing one gallon a week and topping off is less stressful for the plant. The only thing that I think can be improved with this setup is the tubing from the pump to drip system. My tube isn’t the same size as the spout on the pump so it doesn’t fit snugly on the pump and I think it affects the pressure of the water coming out of the drip tube. I was able to find an intermediary tube but it isn’t very flexible and it can be hard to get the connection back if it becomes dislodged. When I got my kit I had a bad solar panel and I called the company up and they had a replacement at my house within two days. All I gave them was my name and they knew exactly who I was! I experienced great customer service and I have an awesome beginners kit at a very reasonable price. It is a great conversation piece and everyone who comes over wants to check out the progress of my tomato plant. Even my 87 year old grandmother who lives in Michigan calls me to find out how my water tomato (as she calls it) is doing. My 3 year old daughter loves this too. She checks it every day and I can’t wait to see what kind of fruit we get from it. I’ve got flowers on it already so it’s just a matter of time. I’ll update my review when the fruit sets. Stay tuned! Here we are just a few weeks later. The plant is now 7 weeks old and the growth has exploded. I've got clusters of fruit that has already set and several more flower clusters.
